bsnes is an emulator for the Super Famicom and SNES video game systems. The project was started by byuu on October 14, 2004, and it was ported to Mac OS X by Richard Bannister in 2005.
bsnes focuses mainly on accuracy, providing cycle-exact emulation. This is difficult to achieve even on modern computers, so bsnes is slower than other emulators, and its system requirements are quite high. For example, the Mac OS X version requires at least a G5 to run.
