Bryn is a village in Neath Port Talbot county borough, Wales. It is located in the hills between Cwmafan in the Afan Valley and Maesteg in the Llynfi Valley. Bryn is also the name of a community coterminous with the village.
Local folklore tells of a creature named "The Powney" that stalks the village's numerous hills hunting sheep to take back to its lair.
'Bryn' is simply a Welsh word meaning 'hill' so there are other places in Britain called Bryn.
