[edit] History

The Bulls played their first season in 1982 in the Northern Junior "D" Hockey League. In 1985, the league was absorbed by the Western Junior "D" Hockey League. In 1989, the Bulls were promoted to the more local Western Junior "C" Hockey League. Although considered a tough competitor, the Bulls struggled financially and were sold off to the town of Goderich, Ontario where they became the Lakeshore Pirates in 1999. As the Pirates, they were winless in by early November of their first season in the town. Last place in the league, the Pirates folded barely halfway through the season and never returned to the Ontario Hockey Association. Junior hockey has not come back to Brussels, but in 2003 Goderich was awarded a new franchise known as the Goderich Sailors.
