Brunstane

Brunstane is a south eastern suburb of the city of Edinburgh, Scotland. It is served by Brunstane railway station on the Edinburgh Crossrail.

Much of the area is covered by new housing, such as on the Gilberstoun estate.

Prominent local features include the Milton Road campus of the Jewel and Esk Valley College, plus Edinburgh's largest Asda supermarket and a large branch of Woolworths on the Milton Link. Extensive retail and leisure facilities at the Fort Kinnaird shopping park are also close by.

Famous landmarks.

The grassy- grass patch. suitable for football. The burn- most famous trademark of Gilberstoun. Has had plenty of gangs and also has a tunnel. The farm- gangs popular in this forest. Munchkings first ever gang April Gang- used by Munchkings in April 2004 and in October 2004.Lies next to the railway and has good views of BigW Asda and The Grassy Big Tree- Near Gilberstoun Loan, this tree was first used as a hideout until the wall was knocked down. Used as a shortcut to get to Gilberstoun Loan. Post Box- well known Jumps (1)- Bike jumps for summer 2003 very popular next to farm until closed down due to glass and other debris Jumps (2)- The second bike junps due to closure of fisrt one. Made in 2004 next to The Big Tree. Collosueum- old trolley stuffed with hay in an arena was orignally placed as a prank.Now part of the April Gang lokking over DFS.
