Bruno Parma

Bruno Parma (born December 30, 1941) is a Slovene chess player and grandmaster.

Parma was born in Ljubljana, Slovenia. At age 20 he won the World Junior Chess Championship. FIDE granted him grandmaster title based on great chess tournament at Beverwijk, Netherlands in 1963. So he became the third Slovene grandmaster after Milan Vidmar (1950/1911) and Vasja Pirc (1953/1938).

In an international tournament at San Juan, Puerto Rico in 1969 he was second together with two U.S. grandmasters, Arthur Bisguier and Walter Shawn Browne, behind Boris Spassky.
