Brunnstrom Approach

Brunnstorm Approach developed by the swedish physical therapist Signe Signe Brunnstrom emphasises the synergetic pattern of movement that develop during recovery from hemiplegia. She encouraged development of flexor and extensor synergies during early recovery hoping that synergic activation of muscles would, with training transition into voluntary activation of movements.
