Bruce Lee's Fighting Method 1-4
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Bruce Lee's Fighting Method 1-4 is series of five of Bruce Lee's book on his Jeet Kune Do fighting techniques and training methods and strategies. They were written by Bruce Lee, but not published until after Lee's death in 1973. This was because Bruce Lee was afraid of spin-off schools that claimed to teach his martial arts, but actually taught a different version, and neglected his philosophy. Tragically, even without the publication of his books, these fears were realized.
- Vol 1. Self-Defense Techniques - This book mainly concerns basic self defense. It consists of a series of photographs and situations, and says which move to use in what situation. It does not deal as much with becoming proficient in the martial arts, but does mention a bit in how to perform the moves. It is mainly photos, with captions to explain them.
- Vol 2. Basic Training - This book consists of basic training, in Jeet Kun Do techniques. It includes advice on how to punch, kick, practice punching, practice kicking, and how to stand. It includes many photos, but much less than the previous book. The photographs explain the text, rather than the opposite, as it was in the previous book.
- Vol 3. Skill in Techniques
- Vol 4. Advanced Techniques
