Bruce Le

This article is about Huang Kin Lung. For the real Bruce Lee, see Bruce Lee.

Bruce Le (real name Huang Kin Lung, A/K/A Wong Kin Lung), is a martial artist and actor who is known for the martial arts films he made in the 1970s and 80s. Most of these were cheaply-produced and were made to capitalize on Bruce Lee, whose death left a large box office void (hence the name change to "Bruce Le").

Bruce Le was a contract player for the Shaw Brothers, where he appeared in the fondly-remembered sci-fi opus Infra-Man. He didn't spend much time with the Shaws, however, and quickly went on to making Bruce Lee clone films. Fans have lambasted Le's clone films as being too slow and talky, though several stand out from the pack, including the exciting, surreal Enter the Game of Death and the insane The Clones of Bruce Lee. Some fans also admire Ninja Over the Great Wall, a Fist of Fury-inspired kung fu epic from 1987 that he directed.

After the Bruceploitation craze ended, Le directed the fairly well-regarded Category III film Comfort Women, and worked as a stunt co-ordinator on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III[1]. IMDB also credits him as doing "utility stunts" on the 2001 film Double Take under the pseudonym "Bruce Ly."
