Bruce Holloway

Bruce Holloway (born May 27, 1963 in Revelstoke, British Columbia) was a professional ice hockey player whose position was defenceman.

Holloway played only two games with the Vancouver Canucks in the 1984-1985 season. He had a reputation as an excellent playmaker in the junior and minor leagues.

Holloway played with the local Revelstoke Bruins of the BCJHL. He then moved on to the WHL where he played for four different teams. He was drafted 136th overall by the Canucks in 1981. His two-game appearance with the Vancouver Canucks was stellar, but the revelation of an incest relationship with his younger sister, Blaire, created a major furor and he was dismissed from the team. Over his career he was considered a tough checker who could deliver a solid physical game.

Holloway's professional hockey debut was with the AHL's Fredericton Express in 1983-1984. In addition to his brief career in the NHL, Holloway was a regular in the AHL and IHL before retiring from hockey in 1986.
