The brownspotted catshark, Scyliorhinus garmani, is a rare cat shark of the family Scyliorhinidae found in the Indo-West Pacific between latitudes 11° N and 12° S. Its length is about 38 cm but its adult size is mostly unknown.

The brownspotted catshark has dark spots on its fins and body, and 7 dusky saddle marks, interspersed with dark and light spots. Its habitat and biology is unknown.

Reproduction is oviparous.
