Brother, Sister is the latest album by mewithoutYou and was released on September 26, 2006 through Tooth & Nail Records. It is also known by the title Brother Sun, Sister Moon based on a canticle written by St. Francis of Assisi. Indeed, the album art has drawings of a sun and moon in the title, and one song is entitled "the Sun and the Moon."
The album sees the band expanding on the more atmospheric elements of the previous release Catch for Us the Foxes, without entirely abandoning the post-hardcore roots of their debut. Brother, Sister features many guest vocal and instrumental appearances, where previous albums had very few or none at all.
