Brook Lynn Ashton

Brook Lynn Ashton is a fictional character on the soap opera General Hospital. She was portrayed by Adrianne Leon until early 2006. Brook Lynn is the daughter of Ned Ashton and Lois Cerullo. Her name is a play on her mother's home town, Brooklyn, New York. She was raised by her mother after her parents' divorce, but came to live with her father as a teenager. She is a talented song writer and singer and her mother, a band manager and record company executive, often pressured her to pursue a singing career. Brook dated Diego Alcazar for a time, but they later broke up. She was also involved in adventures with Georgie Jones, her half-uncle Dillon Quartermaine, and Sage Alcazar, who competed with her for a recording contract. The obnoxious Sage was murdered by serial killer Mary Bishop after she was locked in the Quartermaine freezer by a fed-up Georgie. Sage was a sitting duck for the killer, who mistook her for Brook's adopted cousin Emily Bowen-Quartermaine. After her death, Brook put a poignant song written by Sage to music and recorded it. Sage's uncle Lorenzo Alcazar blamed Brook and the other teens for her death, but was brought to tears when he heard Brook perform the song. The following year, Brook was a victim of the Port Charles Stalker, who drugged girls and took pictures of them. The stalker later turned out to be Sage's cousin Diego, who had read her journals and decided to get revenge on Brook and the others on her behalf. Brook has since moved back to Brooklyn to live with her mother.
