It covers the same area as Bromsgrove District Council. The constituency extends through North Worcestershire to the villages of Barnt Green, Alvechurch and Tardebigge plus the suburbs of Cofton Hackett, Wythall, Hagley and Hollywood.

Since its split with neighbouring Redditch, it has always returned a Conservative Member of Parliament (MP).
