Broadwater Green was built on the Royal Arsenal, just off the shore of the Thames River. It is part of the London Borough of Greenwich.
Broadwater Green is directly opposite from Belmarsh Prison.

Broadwater Green is a mixed council/private estate in Thamesmead, London. It was originally only 2 long roads, but has since 1999 grown massively to become a very large estate. Unlike many council estates, there are no towerblocks in Broadwater Green. It has been commonly referred to as "The Yellow Brick Houses" by local residents in the immediate vicinity. There is a restaurant/public house named "The Princess Alice" at the entrance to the estate. Behind which there is a car park and a building with flats on the top half, and a bookmakers, a hairdressers and a Tesco Express at the bottom, two are empty rooms, both available for rent. Running through the estate are fishing waters.
