[edit] Naming conventions
Hi! I see you've been creating some articles today. I wanted to point out that Wikipedia has some standards for naming articles, and that the articles you've created should adhere to that. (Don't worry; we've fixed the ones you've made so far.) For example, if you want to create an article about Dr. John Smith, the name of the article should be John Smith, not Smith, John or Dr. John Smith. Let me know if you have any questions, and happy editing! -- Merope Talk 18:04, 2 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Wikify tag
Thanks for your work. It looks like you've been adding lots of good information, which is much appreciated. Please take some time to look at Wikipedia:Welcome, newcomers, the Wikipedia:Manual of Style and similar links. You can learn how to format articles so words link to other articles and similar useful tips. It is pretty easy once you learn a couple of simple things. Please don't remove the "Wikify" notice on articles that have not been put in Wikipedia format until you or someone else has taken care of that task. Hope this helps. Best wishes, -- Infrogmation 02:10, 4 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] La voix humaine
I have noticed your many contributions to opera articles. Well done! In the case of La voix humaine, you have changed the sentence created for Denise Duval to created by Denise Duval. There is a huge difference between the two, and what I meant to say was for. The role was also created by her, but that is implicit in my statement. [1]
[edit] La voix humaine
I changed it beacuse, while the role was created by Denise Duval, I have read that Poulenc's first choice was actually Maria Callas.
- No, it was suggested to him by Hervé Dugardin, the manager of Ricordi in Paris, that he adapt Cocteau's play for Callas, but he wrote it for Duval, who was something of a muse to him as well as a very intimate friend and who created Blanche in Carmélites and Thérèse in Les Mamelles de Tirésias. If you read French, read what she herself said about the composition of the work here and here. Orbicle 18:09, 20 October 2006 (UTC)
