[edit] Who's declarer?

Isn't it sometimes important to know which player is declarer, and thus which is dummy? Shouldn't there be a template that indicates that -- or, better yet, the entire bidding history? Seahen 21:12, 24 February 2006 (UTC)

Normally, one always puts South as declarer, for readers's convenience. It is often done even when reporting deals from actual tournaments, by rotating the diagram. See Contract bridge diagram convention.
As for the bidding, vulnerability etc. I didn't want to complicate the template (which is complicated enough even now). If you need to present the bidding, you can supply an auxiliary table, as in e.g. Sacrifice (bridge). Duja 13:22, 27 February 2006 (UTC)
