This picture is of my maternal grandfather Brig. Hari Singh Deora A.V.S.M (Ati Vishisht Sewa Medal), 18th Cavalry (Indian Army).
This picture was taken during the 1965 Indo-Pak War when the Indian Army made a successful attempt through the bridge in the village of Barki, just east of Lahore to cross over the Ichhogil Canal.
