Britt Daniel is the co-founder, lead singer and guitarist of the Austin, Texas rock band, Spoon. Besides being a singer and songwriter, he is also a producer, and, in addition to creating songs for Spoon, has also produced songs for the band I Love You But I've Chosen Darkness and Interpol. He has also performed under the alias Drake Tungsten in the mid 1990s.

In 2002, Britt Daniel worked with Bright Eyes on the fourth volume of Post-Parlo's Home Series.

He also remixed Interpol's "Slow Hands" which is found as Track 3 on the "Slow Hands" single (2004).

He previously worked as a composer for the computer game company Origin Systems.

He is credited with creating some of the original music for the upcoming film Stranger Than Fiction with Brian Reitzell.

  • Appeared in the Veronica Mars episode "Rashard and Wallace go to White Castle", airdate February 1, 2006; sang Karaoke version of Elvis Costello's "Veronica."
  • In 2005 Daniel moved to Portland, Oregon to be with his girlfriend.
