From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The British Rail Class 315 is a 25kv overhead current collection version of the dual voltage Class 313. 61 of these four car units were built in 1980. These were operated by WAGN and First Great Eastern, but from 2004 the WAGN and Great Eastern services they worked were taken over by 'one'. The whole class work inner-suburban services from London Liverpool Street to Chingford, Broxbourne, Enfield Town, and Shenfield. They can occasionally be found further a field, running to Hertford East, Bishop's Stortford, Southminster and Southend, particularly in the peaks.
