British 36th Infantry Brigade

The 36th Infantry Brigade was a British Army formation.

This brigade fought in both the First and Second World Wars. The brigade was a 2nd Line Territorial Army brigade.

Re-created on 7th October 1939 . It fought in the Battle of France in May 1940 , as part of the 12th (Eastern) Infantry Division , where it was over run and dispersed. Reformed on 8th June 1940 it eventually became part of the British 78th Infantry Division serving in the North African Campaign ,in Sicily and Italy .
