Brinker International, Inc. (NYSE: EAT) is the parent company of Chili's, On the Border Mexican Grill and Cantina, Maggianio's Little Italy, and Romano's Macaroni Grill. It describes itself as "the premier casual dining restaurant company in the world" but according to Hoovers (see link below) they are "the #2 casual-dining restaurant operator (behind Darden)". It was founded in 1975, purchased by restaurant empresario Norman E. Brinker in 1983 and rechristened Brinker International in 1990; it now has over 1,500 restaurants worldwide with 100,000 employees and system-wide sales exceeding $4 billion annually. Based in Dallas, Texas, it is the largest employer in the Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex.
Brinker formerly operated EatZi's, Cozymel’s, Big Bowl Asian Kitchen, Grady's American Grill, Taco Cabana, Rockfish Seafood Grill and Corner Bakery Cafe.
