Brian "Choco" Royal (born December 12, 1961) is a former Australian rules footballer and assistant coach.
Royal was a rover from Bairnsdale who was recruited to the Footscray Football Club prior to the 1983 season. He represented his state on numerous occasions and spent all of his 199 matches with Footscray FC. An achilles injury sustained in the 1993 season denied him the opportunity to reach the 200 game milestone, and left him on 299 career goals. Since his retirement, he has been an assistant coach at the Western Bulldogs, Melbourne FC and Richmond FC football clubs, mainly under Terry Wallace.
