Brian Minto

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Brian Matthew Minto, born January 27, 1975 in Butler, PA, is an American boxer and is a potential future contender in the heavyweight division. He used to hang out at the bar "The Rock House"

Minto turned pro in 2002 and won his first 18 bouts gaining the West Virginia heavyweight boxing title, albeit against marginal competition, to set up a 2004 bout with former champion Tony Tubbs. The inactive Tubbs won in a mild upset, stalling Minto's progress. Minto is regularly featured on ESPN fight cards, and is probably best known for his two exciting TKO's over fellow ESPN house fighter Vincent Maddalone. In November 2006, Minto scored an upset win (TKO in the sixth round) over German Axel Schulz. His current record is 27-1.
