Brian Byrne

Brian Byrne, Canadian musician, was born January 13, 1975 in Steadybrook, Newfoundland.
Byrne has lived in Steadybrook, St. John's and Toronto, where he fronted for other bands before he joined I Mother Earth in 1997 and recorded two subsequent albums with them, Blue Green Orange (1999) and The Quicksilver Meat Dream (2003).
Before joining IME, Brian was in and out of several bands, the two most serious ones being Mess and Klaven. Some of Brian's past jobs were cook, dishwasher, bartender, bar back, night cleaner, ski instructor, rock climbing instructor, office work, and "dragon slayer." His solo debut, Tuesdays, Thursdays and if it Rains, was released on April 11, 2006. Since then, he has been touring Canada playing small-venue acoustic sets to promote the album.

- One of Brian's bandmates in Klaven was Adam Gontier of Three Days Grace.
- Brian joined his first band in Corner Brook in 1988, called Pandemonium. The band members were Brian, Kris Waterman, John Kennedy, Rick Waterman and Todd Cook. The late Kris Waterman had a great ability to pick out talent, even at such a young age, and selected Brian as the lead singer for the band. Brian developed his singing and stage presence skills very quickly.
- Brian has been married twice. He left his first wife after less than a year of marriage.
