[edit] License tagging for Image:The Inevitability Of A Strange World.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:The Inevitability Of A Strange World.jpg. Wikipedia gets hundreds of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 16:08, 28 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] playstation 3 and wii dates

Hello. Before making potentially controversial edits, such as those you made to Playstation 3, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. Also, make sure to use an informative edit summary for such edits. Otherwise, people might consider your edits to be vandalism. Thank you.

Apparently Metal Gear's launch date is Q4 2007 according to the sources I could find.

[edit] Vandalism

Please stop. If you continue to vandalize pages, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Please don't vandalize Abington Heights School District (or any other page). If you persist in doing this and saying on your User page that you like to vandalize the school district page, then you will be blocked from editing. We can always use good editors, so please reconsider your declared intention to vandalize. Thanks, Ruhrfisch 01:00, 12 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Welcome on board

Thanks for your message and glad to have you editing - a fair number of current editors have tried vandalism first, so don't worry about it. As I said above we can always use good editors and if there is anything I can do to help, just let me know at my talk page. Ruhrfisch 14:54, 17 October 2006 (UTC)

  • My understanding is that only administrators (I am not one) can delete items from Wikipedia. I would contact one (perhaps the person who blocked you) and explain the situation. You might email them (see email this user in the toolbox at left) if it is something you do not want to discuss in their talk (as that would bring it all up again). [edit] Re: Abington Heights Vadalization

Hey, there. I did protect the page, but another user deleted those versions; I went through and cleaned it up a bit more. Unfortunately, while admins (and many other users, especially in the recent changes patrol) have excellent tools for reverting vandalism, deleting edits is always a bit of a tedious task for admins; you may wish to direct future such incidents to requests for oversight (they have better tools for the task, so to speak). :) Hope that makes sense. Happy editing! Luna Santin 21:52, 18 October 2006 (UTC)
