[edit] Biography

Brett Eriksen was a guitarrist, who played for two Los Angeles thrash metal bands in the 80's, Viking (1986-1990) and Dark Angel (1990 - 1992).

[edit] Viking era

He formed Viking in the spring of 1986 with Ron Eriksen (which was not his brother, they used the nickname only for fun). Viking managed to land a recording contract upon the completion of their second live concert, a feat practically unheard of in the clubs of Hollywood. After two records, Do Or Die (1988) and Man Of Straw (1990), they disbanded, because Ron became a born-christian.

[edit] Dark Angel era

He was friendly with Gene Hoglan(drummer of Dark Angel) and the other Dark Angel members since the band shared the same stage back in the late 80's when he played for Viking. When the Viking's Man Of Straw was finished and released, the band was down, and Erick Eriksen entered in Dark Angel to replace Jim Durkin somewhere the west cost tour for the album Leave Scars. From this tour, Dark Angel released the live album Live Scars. In 1991, he played in the entire Time Does Not Heal album, and soon after this, Dark Angel disbanded.
