From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Brescia Furniture Fire was a blaze that started on 11 March 2005, at the Brescia Furniture factory in Ashfield, New South Wales, an inner suburb of Sydney. It took 150 fire crews, from 30 different stations, to control the fire. Two people were treated for smoke inhalation and two fire fighters suffered minor injuries. The owners are intending to rebuild but are currently embroiled in legal proceedings with their insurer.
