Brescello is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Reggio Emilia in the Italian region Emilia-Romagna, located about 80 km northwest of Bologna and about 25 km northwest of Reggio Emilia. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 4,982 and an area of 24.5 km².[1]
The municipality of Brescello contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Cantone Svizzero, Coenzo a Mane, Ghiarole, Lentigione, and Sorbolo a Mane.
Brescello borders the following municipalities: Boretto, Gattatico, Mezzani, Poviglio, Sorbolo, Viadana.
