Brendan O'Brien is a record producer, engineer and mixer who has worked with many artists, including Pearl Jam, Stone Temple Pilots, Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Our Lady Peace, Aerosmith, The Wallflowers, Matthew Sweet, Limp Bizkit, Lifehouse, Red Hot Chili Peppers, KoЯn, Follow For Now, Trey Anastasio, Rage Against The Machine, The Black Crowes, Aimee Mann, Bruce Springsteen, Audioslave, Papa Roach, Train, The Offspring, Phish, Incubus, King's X, Johnny Law, Uncle Green (later known as 3 lb. thrill), and Soundgarden. He is generally thought of as one of the more important music producers of the 1990s. O'Brien also produced the demo for the Indigo Girls at the theater in Avondale, GA.

He was a member of the band Samurai Catfish in the late 70's and The Georgia Satellites for a short time in the 1980s, and went on to head the Epic Records imprint 57 Records, as well as a premier Atlanta recording studio, Southern Tracks. He also played Hammond organ for Bob Dylan's appearance on MTV Unplugged.
