Brendan Cummins (born 11 May 1975) is an Irish sportsman. He is the goalkeeper on the Tipperary senior hurling team.

Brendan Cummins was born in County Tipperary in 1975. A bank official by profession he plays hurling for the Ballybacon-Grange club and at inter-county level with Tipperary. Cummins first tasted hurling success in 1995 when he won an All-Ireland Under-21 medal with Tipp. That same year he made his senior debut against Waterford in the Munster Championship, however, it would be another few years before Cummins tasted hurling success at senior level. In 1999 he won a National Hurling League medal, however, success in the championship eluded Cummins and Tipp. 2001 proved to be a very special year for Cummins. He won a second National League medal before winning his very first Munster Championship medal. He later won his very first All-Ireland medal with a victory over Galway in the final. Cummins finished off the year by captaining Munster to a Railway Cup victory. He also won his second All-Star Award, the first coming in 2000.

Cummins and Tipperary have not had much success since 2001. They have come close to Munster victory, however, they fell short in 2005 and 2006. In spite of this Cummins claimed a third ALl-Star award in 2003. In 2004 he won the 2004 All-Ireland Poc Fada final in the Cooley Mountains. He is also an accomplished Gaelic footballer and plays for the Ardfinnan club and also played for a number of years as a forward with the Tipperary Senior football team. His father, John Cummins, played for the Tipperary and Munster footballers and coached the Waterford senior footballers in 1999.
