Brenda Josephine Cannell MHK is the current member of the House of Keys for Douglas East, having been first elected in the 1996 general election. She was born in 1952 in Lancashire and moved to the Island in 1977. She had never been employed prior to becoming an MHK. She was on the Douglas Town Council and her interests are music, gardening and the environment.
