"Breed" is a song by American grunge band Nirvana, and the fourth track from the band's 1991 breakthrough album Nevermind.
The lyrics were written by Kurt Cobain, and the music by Cobain, Krist Novoselic and Dave Grohl. The song was written about Kurt Cobain and Tad Doyle, friend and lead vocalist and guitarist of the band Tad.[citation needed] Both suffered from occasional vomiting and diarrhea due to road fatigue and poor diets.[citation needed] The original title of the song was "Imodium", after Cobain and Doyle's medication, but was changed due to copyrights. [citation needed]
Recently the UK rock band Feeder, have been covering the song to close their live sets but have not released any recording of it.
