[edit] Crypt One, buried April 28, 2004
Hello Eric, welcome to Wikipedia. Good work on Vista, California. It's nice to see that updated by a human as it was originally entered by a robot! Here are some useful links in case you haven't already found them;
If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian!

- Yes, you are doing it right! About making the change so soon- you'll find that quite often happens. Lots of people just watch recent changes to find new things to edit so changes, possibly by more than one person, can occur within seconds. There isn't much that goes through unnoticed! Sorry about spelling your name wrong before. :) Angela 04:25, Oct 5, 2003 (UTC)

Hi, is there any particular reason why you change the stubnotes to the "msg:" format? Just wondering. --snoyes 07:13, 13 Jan 2004 (UTC)
Hey, Morris. Yeah, I just got an account a few days ago. I'm doing all right, aside from a little sickness. How's it going with you? -- Djinn112 03:10, Jan 23, 2004 (UTC)
I fear I may disrupt the classic 5-Act Shakespearean nature of your page by commenting. Anyway, you're on my watchlist because you fixed some typos on a Star Trek page I made. Thanks.
Oops. Well, it's okay now; I put an article up at Mike Doughty, so it works all right. -- Djinn112 23:13, Feb 1, 2004 (UTC)
The official part of the Deletion policy doesn't say there is a limit on who can vote. The proposed part of the policy says "A user's votes will be considered valid if that user has been registered at least one week before the listing, and has at least 25 non-minor article edits logged". Personally, I accept all votes if they appear to be made in good faith - ie - they don't seem to be new accounts created for the purpose of StuffingTheBallotBox. Angela. 20:10, Feb 3, 2004 (UTC)
I've rewritten the introduction to List of English words with frequent misuse, I believe that the article is now NPOV enough for wikipedia, and it is a useful resource. Please spare its pitiful life! fabiform | talk 07:41, 5 Feb 2004 (UTC)
- Sniff. Did you read my beautiful examples of how to use the verbs lay and lie? Such artistry! So you don't think that the new introduction is better? All it really claims is that if you write any of the "incorrect" phrases in an essay you'll get it marked as wrong (which I believe is true). It clearly points out that language evolves. I thought the introduction was fair and balanced. But I wont nag you any further. Sniff. fabiform | talk 08:09, 5 Feb 2004 (UTC)
[edit] What????
On the Greg the Bunny talkpage, you said just that. Why???? -- user:zanimum
On Talk:Dan Savage, I assume from your "What" that you are confused on "Keenan Hollohan". I've explained there. -- Jmabel 23:04, 16 Feb 2004 (UTC)
It's not on my watchlist, but I do look at it often. It seems to me that we have some common interests, and I've found a lot of articles interesting to me from your Contributions page. -- Djinn112 01:55, Feb 17, 2004 (UTC)
Hello, why do you put in two versions of your images. The syntax allows you to automatically generate a smaller image version (width:180px) and allows you to generate one with a width of 300px. And, what is good in Aurich, Lower Saxony? :-) Stern 18:00, 22 Feb 2004 (UTC)
Ack ack! Another disruption!
Anyway, I quite like the table you've set up on the individual Star Trek episode pages. My question on the talk page was just one of curiosity. People have created simple messages that can be cut and pasted onto "collective" pages like episode lists. For example, the bottom of the 2001: A Space Odyssey article features a table created by the simple code . Some of these messages are listed at Wikipedia:MediaWiki_custom_elements. I'm not quite sure how this is done, but I think it might be useful for the List of Star Trek TNG episodes.

Hi Branddobbe - I've put a notice on the Requests for protection, and I'm trying to locate a sysop in the meantime to freeze the page. Annoying, isn't it? And it's not like it's even a new issue. -- Kwekubo 00:30, 13 Mar 2004 (UTC)
Nope, not right now. I reinstalled my OS a few months ago and haven't downloaded it again yet. I'll probably get it tonight or tomorrow. -- Djinn112 05:02, Mar 14, 2004 (UTC)
- Now I do. I found an AIM client that I think I like (pork), but I'm still learning how to use it. -- Djinn112 00:43, Mar 15, 2004 (UTC)
Thanx for reminding me about Alexander. And thanx for writing the page on him. ShutterBugTrekker 22:22, 16 Mar 2004 (UTC)
Greetings. Your talk page is pretty sweet. Rock on, dude. -- Aeinome 20:25, Mar 27, 2004 (UTC)
Happy birthday, Eric. Also, is what's at ThingsWalkingOut.com the same as what was at Sorayume.net before you put the Neighborhood Watch picture up? I recognize some of the pictures, but the flow of it seems different. Anyway, I enjoyed it. -- Djinn112 22:17, Mar 27, 2004 (UTC)

[edit] Disneyland past attractions
I started working on List of past Disneyland attractions from memory but it's way too late and I've spent too much time and I'm going to bed. Elf | Talk 06:32, 26 May 2004 (UTC)

- Sorry about user page /Temporary; since it looked like a repository for info to go onto the page & had questions, it seemed like the place to answer. I'll do it on the talk page next time if I have more to add.

Thanks for the note about The Children's Hour - there was a wiki link to it on the Radio 4 comedy section which needed re-directing to the new page ; have sorted it out now though -- Zaphod Beeblebrox 21:33, 4 Jul 2004 (UTC)
Hello, I noticed your page in [www.wikisexsite.com wiki sex site], and thought to greet you. At the moment we are in three working there. Not much, but better than nothing. Oh we also have two stories on the way!
[edit] User page on Norwegian wiki
I just came by your user page on the Norwegian wiki. Thought I should just drop a couple of comments.
In your picture text, you have written "Jeg" which translates to "I". It would be more appropriate to write "Meg" (in english: "me") or "Dette er et bilde av meg." (in English: "This is a picture of me").
Another comment is on the word "unnskyld", which quite correctly means "I'm sorry". But used like that, it would be more appropriate to use the word "Beklager". Whereas "unnskyld" is more like "I'm sorry I did that to you", "beklager" is better to use when trying to say "I'm sorry I can't help you out".

[edit] "Disneyland Park"
I'm sorry if I was too snippy with my edits to change "Disneyland Park" to Disneyland. You're right that there are a couple of places on the Disney web site itself which refers to the place as "Disneyland Park"; but there are many more places which don't have the "Park" in the name, so I'm inclined to believe the true name of the park is simply "Disneyland" but that even WDC is confused as to the proper name to use. You've inspired me to note this in Disneyland. :) - Brian Kendig 01:42, 9 Aug 2004 (UTC)
Hello, the reason they use the phrase "Disneyland park" is that it is required for purposes of protecting their trademark. To remain valid, trademarks must always be used as an adjective, never as a noun. I have added an explanation to the Disneyland page. Johntex 07:23, 14 Jan 2005 (UTC)
[edit] RinkWorks
Greetings! Stumbled upon your user page looking at Sealand and recognized your name from RinkWorks -- I haven't been there in... probably 4 years, but I used to post/chat as Fobulis, and I just thought I would say hello. And so I have. Enjoyed your writing there, and enjoy it here, too. Mindspillage 21:46, 4 Sep 2004 (UTC)
- Perhaps I should... but I already felt like the boards were hard to keep up with when I was in high school and didn't have anything much to do (or, rather, didn't do anything much)! Even here I am merely putting off my senior thesis. :-) Mindspillage
[edit] The mediawiki trouble
Hi. I just saw your posting on Villege Pump regarding mediawiki software. I am not very knowledgeable about it, but there are many who are on Wikitech-l (Wikipedia:Mailing_lists and #mediawiki Wikipedia:IRC. If you still haven't gotten any responce, you should try them. If you already solved the problem, please just ignore this message. Tomos 07:09, 25 Oct 2004 (UTC)
[edit] Stranger in a Strange Land
See my comments on Talk:Group sex. Group sex does not imply the absence of a relationship. It is a description of an activity which is clearly evident in Stranger in a Strange Land, where the definition of group marriage is very loosely defined in the context of being a "water brother" and part of the nest. In any case, the group sex is in the book and should be included on the page. --Viriditas 09:53, 26 Oct 2004 (UTC)

[edit] Article Licensing
Hi, I've started a drive to get users to multi-license all of their contributions that they've made to either (1) all U.S. state, county, and city articles or (2) all articles, using the Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike (CC-by-sa) v1.0 and v2.0 Licenses or into the public domain if they prefer. The CC-by-sa license is a true free documentation license that is similar to Wikipedia's license, the GFDL, but it allows other projects, such as WikiTravel, to use our articles. Since you are among the top 1000 Wikipedians by edits, I was wondering if you would be willing to multi-license all of your contributions or at minimum those on the geographic articles. Over 90% of people asked have agreed. For More Information:
- Multi-Licensing FAQ - Lots of questions answered
- Multi-Licensing Guide
- Free the Rambot Articles Project
To allow us to track those users who muli-license their contributions, many users copy and paste the "DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual" template into their user page, but there are other options at Template messages/User namespace. The following examples could also copied and pasted into your user page:
- Option 1
- I agree to multi-license all my contributions, with the exception of my user pages, as described below:
- DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual
OR
- Option 2
- I agree to multi-license all my contributions to any U.S. state, county, or city article as described below:
- DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual
Or if you wanted to place your work into the public domain, you could replace "DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual" with "MultiLicensePD". If you only prefer using the GFDL, I would like to know that too. Please let me know what you think at my talk page. It's important to know either way so no one keeps asking. -- Ram-Man (comment| talk)

Please note: hypersexuality is a well-defined medical symptom that should not be confused with "sex addiction". "Sex addiction" is a pop-psychology term; please don't redirect it to an article on a medical topic. -- Karada 13:53, 25 Apr 2005 (UTC)
[edit] lots of edits, not an admin
Hi - I made a list of users who've been around long enough to have made lots of edits but aren't admins. If you're at all interested in becoming an admin, can you please add an '*' immediately before your name in this list? I've suggested folks nominating someone might want to puruse this list. Hey! This is Dylan from GPA. Mrs. Mitchell directed our advisory to your new Guajome page and I was amazed! I made a few changes, but just on stuff you wouldn't really know unless you still went there. I guess you should be one of the first to leave me a message on my Talk page, because no one does. And if you're wondering how I know you, I kind of knew your sister, we went to Germany together.

[edit] in re Sheela Lambert
where you noted copy edit one section; still needs more work. Thank you SO much for your work to date and yes, it certainly does!
It was started (by me I think) because she was referenced in some other articles I was working on. I took pieces of info from various places, her CV, history of bisexual movement, things googled, etc. intending to distill what was already too much data down to to the essential facts. But never had time to work on it.
Then another person came along and said that s/he would take over as a first major project and did make a start . . . by adding even more data that s/he found (much which was redundant, but that was intended to be combined and pruned into shape). But s/he too was unable to find the time to work on it.
So consequentially, it's in a terrible state of disrepair. It's much, much to long, has repeated and extraneous stuff, etc., etc. I would be SO happy if you wanted to continue and get the thing into shape.
PS bet you thought this would be another complaint!
PPS we have the same birthday, except I was born 27 March 1954.
Thanks CyntWorkStuff 18:03, 27 May 2006 (UTC)
- I do know that right now her entry reads more like an "Activist's Resume" than a proper Wikipedia entry, I'm just grateful that the "bisexual patrol" got caught up in some other drama and did not busily eradicate this one too before it could be fixed, (see rant on my userpage . . LOL).
- Ms. Lambert is a bisexual activist from NYC, (also see NYABN). She is in her late 40's the single (divorced? don't know if she was officially married) mother of one son who just graduated from college. She is a a Social Worker and Councilor by training, (don't know where her degree is from or precisely what in but could try to find out if important) so she is properly credentialed for the work she does around those issuers (report for City of NY Delivery of Health Services to Bisexual Community, working with GLAAD to make Information Packets, et. at.)[1].
- Lambert's claims to notability are that she is one of the people who after about twelve (12) years of dogged work [2] got the major NYC "Gay" institutions (Pride Parade/Festival, Community Center & Film Festival) to acknowledge the existence/validity of and to change their names to include the entire LGBT community, (which was pretty ridiculous, particularly in the case of the Parade/Festival since it were created by a bisexual person, who as it changed from a rag-tag, militant, street activism type thing to the relatively slick Corporate & NYC Tourism Board production it is today [3] found herself and her community "erased" from the entire event).
- In addition to being important in and of itself to the people who lived in NYC, this work Lambert participated in is quite significant because many other in the region (possibly beyond?) looked to the NYC Gay institutions to set the tone of acceptance in their own communities.
- Also some people who were members of/leaders of these same "Gay" groups have since gone on to work in/head some of the big national LGBT rights groups, etc. So they then took with them these lessons of tolerance and inclusion that were so laboriously and painfully learned (or in the case of some people forcibly taught . . . dare I say 'rammed down their throats?') in NYC.
- In recent years Lambert has gone on to expand her activism to a National (as a senior organizer with Bialogue which now frequently partners with BiNet USA, BRC, GLAAD, Gay and Lesbian Task Force, HRC, et. al) and international (she started Bi Writers Association [4] which now has an international membership) and one of the first US LGBT Groups to this year endorse International Day Against Homophobia.
- An addition al minor point (or maybe not so minor if you are a media person) is that she was the first openly "Out & Proud" Bisexual person to work on NYC's "Gay" TV programs and also produced what as far as is known, the first ever TV show for the Bisexual community itself. [edit] Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of Sci Fi Channel (United States) programs
Ello there, Eric.. I'd rather like for you to give your input on the future of List of Sci Fi Channel (United States) programs since it may invariably suffer the same fate as Other films aired on The SciFi Channel, so please do so if time permits. It's a rather pertinant piece of information concerning the Sci Fi Channel, so its demise will prolly compromise the article quite alot. DrWho42 22:16, 4 July 2006 (UTC)
