[edit] Welcome
Hello, Brainma, and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}}
on your user page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few good links for newcomers:
- The Five Pillars of Wikipedia
- How to edit a page
- Editing tutorial
- Picture tutorial
- How to write a great article
- Naming conventions
- Manual of Style
I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and vote pages using three tildes, like this: ~~~. Four tildes (~~~~) produces your name and the current date. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! --Ioannes Pragensis 16:47, 1 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Protocol
Incidentally, we don't sign our contributions to articles. This is because a given article can have dozens, or even hundreds, of individual contributors, and would quickly become an illegible mess of signatures.
(On the other hand, you should always sign messages that you leave on talk pages or discussion pages.)
No harm done - this is just so you know. DS 16:58, 2 May 2006 (UTC)
Welcome to Wikipedia. We invite everyone to contribute constructively to our encyclopedia. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing. However, unconstructive edits, such as those you made to Bristol Rovers F.C., are considered vandalism. If you continue in this manner you may be blocked from editing without further warning. Please stop, and consider improving rather than damaging the work of others. Thank you. Gasheadsteve 11:11, 8 November 2006 (UTC)
- After seeing your other useful edits related to Bristol Rovers players, I've retracted the vandalism warning. I assume that someone else has gained access to your account and performed the vandalism. Gasheadsteve 12:04, 8 November 2006 (UTC)
