[edit] Hello!

Hey there! Thought I'd start your talk page by saying hello to a fellow Half-Life lover (although I must say I despise Harry Potter... hehe)! And one of the very very few Ozzies I've ever come across! It's summer down there isn't it? Crazy place  :) Now I have to ask this, its been plaguing me since I was a kid - do Australians really have their Christmas dinner on the beach?? Rusty2005 11:09, 14 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Super Saiyan

hey, thanks for the pics. I have some more you could look at to add to other DBZ pages if you wanted. Your pix are good quality but why don't they have the aura or lightining? Infinare 03:57, 18 December 2005 (UTC)

  • Aren't those pics from Budokai 3? --EMC 23:43, 6 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Buu

Thank you for intelligently responding to me in a way which Wiki-Star is apparently incapable due to unfamiliarity with the enlish language, mental disability, or just plain refusal to cooperate. However, I must disagree with you, due to the reasons I have given on the talk page for Buu. Super Buu is a name not used until after Buu begins absorbing the Z Senshi. If you want to call Thin Buu/Evil Buu "Evil Buu" go right ahead. But we need to determine some other name for the stage of Buu between what you call Evil Buu and Super Buu's first form (Super Buu with Gotenks and Piccolo). Please suggest to me what name would be better so we can implement it, and then we can both give the new name on the talk page. If Wiki-Star tries to revert it, I will talk to an Administrator about his repeated attempts to introduce erroneous information into wikipedia.

Thanks.

[edit] Image Tagging Image:Super Saiyan 2.jpg

Warning sign
This media may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:Super Saiyan 2.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then there needs to be an argument why we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then it needs to be specified where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media qualifies as fair use, consider reading fair use, and then use a tag such as {{fairusein|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other media, consider checking that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ReyBrujo 04:32, 7 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image tagging for Image:Highway17.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Highway17.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

[edit] A bit of advice while taking Half-Life 2 screenshots.

Hi. I see you managed to provide a substantial amount of images for Half-Life 2 and Half-Life 2: Episode One, and would like to help you get the most of image quality out of the game.

Now, you definitely are aware of the console dialog box that can be accessed by pressing the "~" key. They are two additional commands that can be used to remove the weapon in hand and the HUD:

  • "viewmodel_fov [number]"; the default value is 54. Increasing the value moves the player model's hands and wielded weapon forward from the camera; decreasing it does the opposite (although a negative number would eventually move the model back forward, upside down). Enter "viewmodel_fov 0" to move these objects out of view.
  • "cl_drawhud [1 or 0]"; 1 turns on the HUD, 0 turns it off.

Hope that helps. :) ╫ 25 ◀RingADing▶ 07:42, 20 August 2006 (UTC) ╫

[edit] HL2E2

First off, I tagged it as a suspected hoax so that someone else would verify whether it was one or not, providing a source. Second, I did put my concern on the talk page. And third, I didn't delete anything. Anyway, I'm glad it's sorted, now. (|-- UlTiMuS 17:56, 26 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Note on image licensing

I'm going through your Ep2 trailer stills and replacing them with frames from the direct feed video that was replaced yesterday. I notice that you are tagging them as public domain - this is completely wrong! The fact that you pressed PrntScrn at the appropriate moment does not make you the owner of the work, and certainly doesn't give you the rights to declare something PD. I'm re-tagging them as {{game-screenshot}}, which is the best option for these sorts of things. --Tom Edwards 10:00, 31 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] License tagging for Image:Episode2-huntercloseup.JPG

Thanks for uploading Image:Episode2-huntercloseup.JPG. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:
