Brawley High is known for its outstanding athletic records. [citation needed] The bell game, an annual football game with their rival school, Central Union High, is a valley-wide event. The wildcats have just recently lost the bell to the Central Spartans.

Overall, there is a majority of Hispanic students at BUHS, and in the Imperial Valley, where Brawley is located. There is little to no racial discrimination at the school, although Hispanic discrimination toward white students is the most observable. [citation needed]
