[edit] Outer bypass
It will consist of D4 and (maybe) R8/NO motorroad. It will start and end at the Austrian border.
Currently, there is only short stretch of D4 motorway long 3 km (1,9 mi) from the Austrian border. There are planned 3 major bridges (over Danube, Little Danube and Morava rivers), 2 covered tunnels (near the Bratislava airport) and 1 tunnel (under Little Carpathians). Most of the sections are going to be built after the year 2010.
