[edit] AMC

The current DaimlerChrysler factory must not be confused with a nearby AMC plant which shared the same name. It opened in 1960 and was shut down in 1992 by Chrysler. It produced Ramblers, Rebels, Hornets, Gremlins and Eagles. It also produced the JEEP CJ and Wranglers.
