Brahmani River

The Brahmani River is a river in Orissa state of eastern India. The Brahmani is formed by the confluence of the Sankh and South Koel rivers, and has a length 480 km. The town of Rourkela lies on the middle reach of the river. The Brahmani, Mahanadi, and Baitarani rivers jointly form a large river delta on the Orissa coastal plain, and they empty into the Bay of Bengal through numerous distributaries.
