Hi there...just so you know, Wikipedia articles about radio and television stations have to be titled by the station's proper call sign, not by the brand name that they use on air. The issue is that a brand name like C-100 isn't necessarily a unique identifier. (Just take a look at how many stations are listed at Q107...and there may still be more to be added.) The article can mention the brand name, yes, but the actual title of the article must be the station's four-letter call sign (with AM, FM or TV suffix if necessary), because that's the only identifier a station has that's always unique. Hi BoyoJonesJr.

When you indicate that images are uploaded under the GFDL it is important to indicate who the image author/publisher actually is so that credit can be given appropriately. Could you be sure to tag your images with that information when you use the {{GFDL}} template? (Here's a list of all your image contributions: [1]).

For any image that you created yourself (that is, it is a photograph that you took) and that you want to release under the GFDL, you can use the {{GFDL-self}} template.TenOfAllTrades(talk) 23:32, 14 August 2005 (UTC)

Also, take care that the image copyright tag that you add is correct; Image:Antigonish.gif, for instance, is covered by Crown copyright (as noted here) and should bear the tag {{NovaScotiaCopyright}}. Re ATV (Canada) -> CTV Atlantic: In the future, please use the "move" tab at the top of the screen. See Wikipedia:Merging and moving pages (under "Renaming"). Hi Boyo, Image:Stfx-science-centre.jpg and Image:Building_bloomfield.gif have been tagged as "orphaned fair use" for more than seven days. If they are not fair use, please fix their license information. If they are fair use, please note that they aren't allowed on user pages, so unfortunately they will have to be deleted. Thank you. [edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Xhall-png.png

Thanks for uploading Image:Xhall-png.png. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}.

[edit] Fair use images on user page

Hi,

You need to remove the fair use images from your user page. Please see WP:FU if you have any questions, specifically policy #9. Fair use images should only be used in the article namespace. Used outside article space, they are often enough not covered under the fair use doctrine. They should never be used on templates (including stub templates and navigation boxes) or on user pages.

Just thought I'd fill you in on the logo. It actually was edited, although the change was minimal. I've worked with Sobeys from 2001 through 2006 and am a graphic designer, so I tend to notice all the little details. It was also mentioned at the conference I attended in 2002 covering the changes that "Ready to Serve" was to introduce. I managed to dig up a couple of references. Old logos: http://www.rcsretail.ns.ca/images/sobeysLetter.gif http://www.cthrc.ca/eng/images/Sobeys%20at%20NSCC.jpg Like I said, it was a minimal change, but when you compare to the new logo, you can see the the S was altered to wrap around the o. The last s was also changed to match. Also, my line on Compliments Balance was referenced from Sobeys' own website.

I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{Replaceable fair use disputed}}
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

[edit] Removal of Festival Antigonish Link

Hi BoyoJones!

I was just wondering why you deleted the link that I just put in for Festival Antigonish Summer Theatre. It's one of the big cultural events around the town and would seem to belong there, or maybe there needs to be a section for culture or something like that? Or do you have any other ideas what we should do. (If I was supposed to ask before I added it, I apologize!) It seems like it does belong someplace on in the Antigonish listing. And boy, I sure could use some help with Wikipedia. I'm trying to put together a page for FAST and it's more complicated than I thought it might be. I live in Antigonish and am on the board of FAST.
