Boyz Nite Out
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Boyz Nite Out (sometimes known as BNO for short) is a contemporary a cappella quintet based in Sacramento, California. Originally formed in October of 1993 as a sextet, Boyz Nite Out quickly established itself as a high-energy vocal band. The group's members write and sing their own songs, and also perform updated standards of the '50s doo-wop era.
The band's first album, "Rho Sham Bo," set a new a cappella standard for how CDs were recorded. Boyz Nite Out was one of the first groups to incorporate more intricate effects and use hard disk recording, something that is standard today.
The group's recognitions include being named Sacramento Magazine's Best Vocal Group and winning the 1995 Bay Area Harmony Sweepstakes; it has also opened for the likes of Ray Charles, The Righteous Brothers, and Michael McDonald.
