Boys and Girls, released in 1985, was the sixth solo album by Bryan Ferry, though chronologically (and stylistically) it followed on from the final Roxy Music album Avalon (1982). Ferry's previous solo work, The Bride Stripped Bare, had been released some years before in 1978.
