Boyle Abbey is a 12th century Cistercian monastery located in County Roscommon, Ireland, near the modern town of Boyle. It was badly damaged by its use as a military garrison during the 17th and 18th centuries. The ruins are maintained by Heritage Ireland and are open to the public for a nominal admission fee.
