Lion Heart Boxing Productions

Salt Lake City, Utah based Lion Heart Boxing Productions, Ltd. is an integrated Boxing Promoter and Sports Entertainment Company started in 2001 by New Orleans Tax Attorney Edward B. Mendy.

The company has three units: (1) Underdog Boxing Club which operates amateur boxing programs and boxing gyms and health clubs, (2) Thursday Night Fights, the promoter of the Thursday Night Fights series as well as club level shows, and (3) Lion Heart Boxing Productions, the jewel of the company and a promoter of casino shows, big venue fights and international events. The Lion Heart Boxing Productions promotional arm of the company was set primarily to promote and produce non-Thursday Night Fights boxing events as well as international boxing shows. Lion Heart Boxing Productions not only promotes fights but also provides event management that includes, among other things, securing venues/sites and coordinating promotions with casinos, other promoters and television. The three companies are collectively referred to as Lion Heart Boxing Productions.

The Lion Heart Boxing Productions group quickly developed and maintains a reputation for being a producer of high quality fights and is well respected in the Boxing world for its fair treatment of fighters, its advocacy of uniform boxing rules and better working conditions for active fighters, and its commitment to the provision of life skills, job transition training, and a safety net for retired fighters.

Lion Heart Boxing Productions is the promoter top contenders including former Two-Time Heavyweight Herbie Hide (36-4), Welterweight Contender and NABC Welterweight Champion Antonio Mesquita (33-0) Welterweight Troy Browning (17-0) and Spanish Cruierweight David Quinonero (21-0), Knockout Sensations Tyrone Brunson (13-0, 13 KO’s) and Juan Nazario (3-0, 3 KO’s), and the home of undefeated Heavyweight Prospects Big Fred Kassi (7-0) and Thamsanqa Dube (8-0).
