Bound By Ties of Blood and Affection is the sixth full-length album from Californian hardcore punk band, Good Riddance. It was released on May 20, 2003 on Fat Wreck Chords and was also produced on 322 limited edition white vinyl discs. It actually follows the release of a a split EP with Kill Your Idols on Jade Tree Records and a cover version album, called Cover Ups in 2001 and 2002 respectively.
The band line-up remained the same as the previous album, Symptoms of a Leveling Spirit, and all but one of the production team – Stephen Egerton – were present for the fourth consecutive time. As was the tradition on all Good Riddance albums since 1996's A Comprehensive Guide to Moderne Rebellion – apart from possessing long names – a hidden track was included at the end of the recording. This time it was a parody of a government message – in keeping with the band's political leanings.
