Botamon is a fictional character from the Digimon franchise. Botamon's name comes from the Japanese word, Bota, which refers to to rocks dug up in coal mining.

Botamon is a small, Fresh level Digimon with yellow eyes and small bumps on the head which resemble the ears of a cartoon bear's. A Botamon's mouth is not normally visible unless it is opened. Botamon are about a little less then a foot tall in size.

Botamon's Mega form, WarGreymon, is able to attain an even more powerful form by DNA Digivoluting with MetalGarurumon to become Omnimon

In 1997, Bandai released the Digimon Battle Pets. It was a Tamagotchi-like game intended to attract the competitive nature of boys, as the Gigapets and Tamagotchi toys tended to attract girls more. In the first version of this toy, Botamon was the Fresh form of the Digimon, and its digivolution depended on the type of care it received:
- Fresh (Baby I) - Botamon
- In-Training (Baby II) - Koromon
- Rookie (Child) - Agumon, Betamon
- Champion (Adult) - Greymon, Tyrannomon, Meramon, Devimon, Airdramon, Seadramon, Numemon

A Digi-Egg containing a Botamon appeared in Tai and Kari's apartment. The Botamon digivolved into a Koromon after eating some chocolate.

Many Botamon were seen in Primary Village, one of them was even seen digivolving into Koromon. A Botamon was also seen in the Koromon Village.

A Botamon was seen in the Primary Village when Ken appeared to look for Wormmon's Digi-Egg after his reign as the Digimon Emperor. A Botamon was also seen with an Elecmon and some other Baby Digimon in the forest that BlackWarGreymon was passing through.

Some Botamon were seen in both versions of the Village of New Beginnings.

While BantyoLeomon was training Masaru Daimon, Tohma H. Norstein, and Yoshino Fujieda on how to master their DigiSouls, Agumon chased after a Botamon for fun.
