Talk:Bose Lifestyle Home Entertainment Family

[edit] Criticism is NEEDED
No Home Entertainment System can be complete without criticism. Given a heavy amount of criticism Bose has been slapped with on the Bose Corporation Article, any criticisms regarding about the Bose Lifestyle Family should be posted, but in CLEAN FAITH. Thanks. — Vesther 15:33, 25 September 2005 (UTC)
I agree--Nibblesnbits 18:05, 6 August 2006 (UTC)
I agree about the critisism, this page is just a ad for the systems. I own 3 Lifestyle systems myself, and while I agree with some of the critics (you can get better sound for your money etc) The main issue I have with the systems is the same one I have with every home theater i a box system. Your locked into whatever you bought. Upgrades are a impossibility except for firmware/software. If one part breaks, your without sound for weeks until its fixed. As for Bose specific things, uMusic, while great, takes a long time to rip a CD compaired to other products, storage is at most 400 CD's (although the Lifestyle 38 and 48 use the same hard drive, the 38 holds less music) and many CD's information is not in the system, so you run the risk of having a lot of -No Label- CD's until the company updates the database. And even then, they get a lot of titles wrong. But it's a easy to use mid-fi system with small speakers. That said, if I was buying one, i would go with a Lifestyle 35 and get a Sonos remote sound system to work with it for sound throughout the house. It's a great product for specific people, thats why i dont want to see people just bash it, but the article should be clear that it's not for everyone, or even most people.
The show changes every year or so.
The show is actually 11.5 minutes long not 15 as originally stated, it also changes periodically.
[edit] Show
As far as the show goes, it usually runs 15 min (and as such, RDG says its about 15 min) plus the additional talk about the system. Also, I am working on a redesign to make it less of an advertisement (if someone can plug in some criticism, that'd be great) -- Comm3c 20:15, 10 August 2006 (UTC)
