Bossas & Ballads - The Lost Sessions
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
In 1989, tenor saxophonist Stan Getz recorded a couple of sessions for A&M Records. But the results were shelved in favor of Apasionado, an orchestrated latin jazz suite that was released in 1990. These sessions, recorded by A&M and issued for the first time on Verve Records, show Getz playing bossa nova and ballads at his finest in his later years.
