Born into Trouble as the Sparks Fly Upward is the second album of The Silver Mt. Zion Memorial Orchestra and Tra-la-la Band, a post-rock band, on Constellation Records in 2001. The title is most likely drawn from the King James Version of the Book of Job: “Yet man is born unto trouble, as the sparks fly upwards” (Ch. 5:7). (Note the change of “unto” to “into”, presumably for aesthetic purposes.)
The album finds the band expanding from three members to six, with a similarly expanded name.
