The Borhyaenids were a carnivorous group of otter/wolverine-shaped marsupials in the order Sparassodonta. Like all marsupials, it had a pouch to carry its babies around. Today, Tasmanian devils are most like them, a scavenging marsupial from Tasmania, Australia. Borhyaenids had strong and powerful jaws like Hyaenodon and Andrewsarchus, for crushing bones. They lived in the Miocene of South America. They also grow up to 5 or 6 feet long. Some borhyaenids are Borhyaena and Cladosictis.
